Open PvP

Player-versus-player combat that can occur across broad parts of the shared world instead of only inside designated matches.

How open pvp works

Rules vary widely. Open PvP may be consensual, faction-based, level-restricted, criminalized by game systems or combined with item loss. The label alone does not establish whether full-loot PvP is present.

Strengths and tradeoffs

Open PvP creates risk and spontaneous conflict, but it can also expose players to uneven fights. Check each profile and official rules before assuming how safe zones or penalties work.
