Legends of Future Past

Legends of Future Past was one of the earliest commercial text MMORPGs, launching in 1992 on CompuServe before moving to the Internet. Its persistent Shattered Realms featured paid game masters, skill-based progression, crafting and live roleplaying events. The original service ended in 1999 and a reconstructed revival appeared in 2026.
