Why you might like it

  • A xianxia (Chinese immortal-cultivation fantasy) MMORPG drawing on the beloved Chinese fantasy novel Zhu Xian, offering Western players a way to engage with a genuinely different fantasy tradition than typical Western high-fantasy MMORPGs.
  • Part of a wider wave of Chinese MMORPGs built on popular xianxia literature, worth knowing about for anyone interested in that specific fantasy subgenre's video game adaptations.
  • Reflects a distinct visual and thematic identity — flying-sword combat, immortal cultivation, and celestial mythology — that stands apart from the wuxia (martial-arts-focused) titles more commonly covered on this site.

Things to consider

  • This profile covers the original 2009 PC 2D turn-based MMORPG specifically, not the separately-run, newer Tencent-published mobile game sharing the same Chinese name.
  • As with many Chinese-market MMORPGs, Western-language documentation and community resources are comparatively sparse — research directly through Chinese-language sources for the most complete and current information.
  • If you're interested in the broader xianxia MMORPG subgenre, check for more recently developed or currently active titles, since this specific entry's operational status is uncertain.
