Things to consider

Chronicles of Elyria has never been released and its development status is effectively defunct — Soulbound Studios laid off all staff and ceased development years ago after running out of funding.
A class-action lawsuit was filed against Soulbound Studios and payment processor Xsolla over failure to deliver the game and refusal to issue refunds; the suit against Soulbound was ultimately dismissed in 2022.
Backers who spent significant money (in some cases over $20,000 through the studio's online store) were left without the promised game and largely without refunds.
Treat this as a cautionary historical case study in crowdfunded MMO development rather than an active or upcoming game — there is no credible current path to release.
